Agriculture is the second largest industry in Florida and ranks 9th nationally for total agricultural sales. More than 10 million acres are used for farmland in the state, producing feed products, food products, and seeds. Water & Air has assisted in the monitoring, inventory, and management practices of agricultural lands and operations in Florida.
In the related forest industry, forestland in Florida totals 16.88 million acres or 49% of all terrestrial area in the state, a majority of the forestland is privately owned. This vast acreage of forestland produces a variety of wood products, through a network of 65 mills, including lumber, mulch, and pulp among others. Water & Air has provided support to Florida and neighboring states’ pulp mills, directed to protect air and water resources, to help our clients comply with environmental regulations.
